The weather has begun to warm up here in the Southwestern United States. Hot days are ahead and it has me thinking about summer thunderstorms. You can see them roll in from a distance; the sky goes grey and dark. When it happens at sunset, amazing colors light up the sky. Monsoon season is the only thing I like about our hot summers, a brief respite from the hot sun.

I recently finished this piece I have wanted to paint for a long time. If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love to travel. This past fall, my family and I escaped to Baja California for some much need relaxation. From the airplane, you can see where the dry desert land greets the coolness of the ocean.
